The best music video of all

So while mom and dad are on vacation we all made a music video that is the funniest thing in the whole world. it is on my myspace and youtube, and i need trisha to put it on this blog it is really funny and thank you natalee for editing it and making it awesome. I hope you enjoy.

(edited by zach) this is how you post a video off of Youtube or Myspace.
1. At the end of the video clip on Myspace the video reduces size and two options, "embed" and "url" appear with buttons underneath to "copy to clipboard" (on youtube you can just copy the text under the "embed" label (which is under the "about this video" and "chaddyboy311" off to the right of the video) there are otherways too under the share button below it(or at the end of the video) then hit post to blog and follow that process).
2. click the button under the "embed" option
3. access your blog and go to new post (in this case, in order to add the video to a completed post, once you are to the new post screen click on the edit posts option above, select the post you want to add the video too and then continue with the instructions)
4. Once you are at the post screen click on "Edit Html" at the top right of the text box next to "compose" and above "preview"
5. the text will then change to an html looking font, place your cursor wherever you want to place the "embed" text you copied to your clipboard earlier (you'll usually want to hit return once and place the cursor at the bottom of your post), then hit paste.
6. a bunch of text should appear which is your html code.
7. click on "compose" tab next to "edit html" tab to get back to the 'New Post' screen where you typed your text. then hit publish post.

How are you doing? I am doing rather well. The work is going great here in Greenville. We have had quite a few baptisms the last couple weeks in our Spanish Group. There is a part member family which my trainer Elder Swan taught and baptized over a year ago and the son (Jaysuvi, 17) was finally baptized. That was pretty cool...Well I love all of you to death. Thanks for everything.

Dew and water and gatorade, Ice Cream- vanilla, Fruit- clementines and bananas, or just any fruit that is juicy besides watermelon, Vegetable- summer squash, but we did have asparagus tonight with parmesan cheese on it that was so good, Main Course- sandwich all the way, Candy- starburst or anything sour, Snack- nacho cheese doritos.

4. What are you working on right now in life (what consumes your time)? um... getting ready for a mission, working at ars as a peon cleaning up sewage which is really fun. I am on 3 basketball teams, an open league on mondays, six foot and under on tuesdays, and elders quorum church ball on wednesdays. so i keep pretty busy. oh yeah and another fun fact is i talked to the assistant coach at SUU and i am going to send him tape of me playing football this week so we will see how that goes.

What I'm doing: School, I have a major paper to write this semester on the implementation of a UN accountability mechanism for monitoring international development financing (i.e. The World Bank) for a class and my Law Journal requirement, I'm working as a faculty research assistant in the library, and as a member of the Georgetown Int'l Law Journal I have a bunch of research I have to do to make sure the articles we publish are accurately footnoted, and I'm assistant coach of the YM's basketball team and we are 3-1, and I scored 14 points in our elder's ward ball game tuesday in our route of the Young Single Adults Ward team 60-30 (I just about died I'm so out of shape).

5. What I'd rather be doing: Pretty much anything, like sometimes I think I can hear Macey's calling my name. I guess the ward ball is okay other than I really am the shortest and doofiest guy on the team, everyone else played college ball and is like 6'5''. (Now you can understand why I was so proud of the 14 points).

6. What I'm looking forward to: The birth of our son in March, finishing my second year of law school, and actually getting paid for work this summer.

7. What I'd like to accomplish before next year: write that darned paper, land a permanent offer from Moore & Van Allen in Charlotte.

Yes, It's a blog but...

The other day I was thinking that I rarely know what any of the 'guys' in the fam are doing, and I remembered seeing a blog on the Mitt Romney website called the "5BrothersBlog" where any of the 5 Romney brothers could post the latest from wherever they were on the campaign trail, so then I thought maybe we could pull something similar off and have sort of a communication forum/Bulliten Board for the Champlin Family males. Okay, so the idea subject to evolution is that we can all use this blog to post stuff about what is going on in our lives, ask questions, share cool links etc... I also thought it would be a good place to transcribe letters from missionaries in the field as 'Max posts' or 'Chad posts', and Dad when you guys are in the field you could use the blog to keep the fam up to date. We could discuss family events/trips/reunions solve world hunger and develop a functional car that runs off of hydrogen power, I mean the possibilities are endless!

As you can see I've the set up is pretty simple. I've put a list of favorite links for everyone, with a lame sample fav link that you can change and add as many as you want. Once you have the sign on info you'll be able to access and customize and post and everything. The way the whole blogger thing works is you have to have an account which is the same as a google account. In order for us to all access I set up a generic gmail account champlinbrothers@gmail.com so the sign in name for the blog is "champlinbrothers". The website is http://www.champlinbrothers.blogspot.com/ and the password is the title of the blog (the words that look like hebrew without the capitals or spaces. Once you log in you can fiddle around a bit with adding links and posting. There are a couple of pitfalls so I don't want us to get too adventurous quite yet with adding features to the blog e.g. if you change the template it erases all the links. So for now you can add and delete links under you fav link section, post blogs, and add other features in the blogger lists. By the way all of this is done by first going to http://www.champlinbrothers.blogspot.com/ then signing in then you can go to customize in the top left (next to sign in) and then go to layout and explore from there.

Well, lets get started and let me know if you have questions or stuff isn't working. I'll make an effor to grease the wheels and get things going so the only job for everyone else is check the blog periodically and participate.

It may end up that we all decide to start personal blogs on the side too and put links to them on this blog. We'll see how it evolves.
